This is an article about getting your name on the GMC consultant register through the portfolio pathway.
I’m not writing this because I have any doubts about the breadth of material that is already available, but because I want to understand how much is just enough and if too much is actually required.
Also, I’m currently putting my application together and I thought why not share my journey as I go along.
To give you some context, I have been in the UK for the last 8 years, working in the capacity of clinical fellow. I have FRCEM and I have now decided to put together my application for the Portfolio pathway.
My plan is to share each step with you. I’m going to work on my CV first.
I know it’s 12 SLOs and I know these SLOs are meant to cover every aspect, but I want to be certain about the extent of information required for each SLO.
